Kazakh aviation logistics specialist Akzhan Biarystanov is working with the Uzbekistan national team during its 2026 World Cup campaign, ASnews.kz reports.
Biarystanov represents Air Charter Service, a company involved in charter aviation and an official aviation logistics supplier for FIFA. His role with Uzbekistan is to help organize the team’s charter flights between cities and countries.
He has worked in charter aviation for several years. Before cooperating with Uzbekistan, Biarystanov helped arrange travel for the Kazakhstan national team, Astana, Tobol and Kairat. Last season, he accompanied Kairat through their European campaign — from the first qualifying round to the match against Arsenal in London.
According to Biarystanov, his cooperation with Uzbekistan is focused on making sure the team reaches the right place at the right time.
“Wherever the team needs to be, we help with that. For example, yesterday I sent Uzbekistan to Edmonton for the friendly against Canada,” Biarystanov told ASnews.kz.
He also spoke about his first impressions of Uzbekistan’s leading players. On his first day with the team, Biarystanov met Abdukodir Khusanov and Eldor Shomurodov.
“The guys were very open and gladly took a photo with me,” he said.
Biarystanov separately praised Uzbekistan head coach Fabio Cannavaro, describing the Italian as a demanding professional.
“He gives the impression of a demanding professional. Especially when it comes to logistics: at the Italian’s insistence, everything must work without delays, exactly on schedule, and the in-flight meals must meet sports standards. This is what separates world-class teams,” Biarystanov said.
At the same time, the Kazakh specialist continues to work on projects for the Kazakhstan national team. Remotely, he is handling logistics for Kazakhstan’s matches against Armenia and Hungary.
Biarystanov said that being close to the atmosphere of the World Cup makes him think about Kazakhstan’s own future.
“I want to believe that one day our national team will also earn such a ticket. For millions of Kazakh fans, it would be a celebration, and for me it would be another professional task and a reason to be proud,” he said.
