Iranian clubs have started preparations to resume training and are recalling foreign players to join upcoming camps, Eurasia Football reports, citing a source familiar with the situation.

According to the source, one Central Asian player currently under contract in Iran received an official letter inviting him to return and take part in training sessions. The document states that preparations are underway following the recent ceasefire and the gradual stabilization of the situation in the country.
The letter reportedly places strong emphasis on safety, with the club assuring that conditions are being closely monitored and that all necessary measures are being taken in coordination with relevant authorities.
At the same time, no final decision has yet been made regarding the domestic league. The Iranian Football Federation and club officials are still considering whether to resume the championship or end it prematurely. A decision is expected on April 18.
Earlier, Iranian officials had raised the possibility of boycotting international competitions amid rising tensions, including potential withdrawal from the World Cup and restrictions on travel. However, no official decision was ultimately taken.
The move to resume training and recall foreign players suggests that Iranian football is gradually shifting back toward normal operations, despite ongoing uncertainty.
Notably, Iranian clubs currently have 40 foreign players on their books. When the military escalation began, many of them left the country in great haste, using different routes and means to get out.
