According to EF sources, the 48-year-old could take charge of the Ukrainian giants in 2027.

Shatskikh is currently head coach of FC Asia Talas in Kyrgyzstan. The newly formed club are enjoying an impressive debut season in the country’s top flight and remain in the title race.

After 25 matches, Asia sit third in the table with 49 points, six behind leaders Bars and three behind second-placed Alga. Their next league match is against Alay on October 17.

Shatskikh took charge of Asia ahead of the 2026 season after previously working in Uzbekistan with Pakhtakor and Andijan. He guided Pakhtakor to two Uzbek league titles before joining Andijan in May 2025.

The Tashkent-born coach has a long history with Dynamo Kyiv. As a player, he spent ten seasons at the club between 1999 and 2009, scoring 142 goals in 328 appearances. He won six Ukrainian league titles, five Ukrainian Cups and two Ukrainian Super Cups.

Shatskikh later returned to Dynamo as a coach, working with the club’s youth teams before joining the first-team coaching staff under Alyaksandr Khatskevich.
