Kazakhstan forward Dastan Satpaev could be handed more playing time in Burnley’s next match as the club deals with a number of attacking absences.

Burnley will face Lincoln City away in the Championship on October 24. Nicky Hayen will be without Jamie Vardy for the match. Zeki Amdouni also remains sidelined, while Jacob Bruun Larsen is expected to be out for around 10–12 weeks with a stress fracture.
According to the Burnley Express, Armando Broja and Andreas Hountondji are the most direct options to replace Vardy at centre-forward. Satpaev is also among the players who could receive additional minutes. Hayen has suggested that Burnley may alter their structure because of the attacking absences.
The 18-year-old Kazakhstan international recently returned from a hamstring injury. Satpaev first played around 20 minutes against Watford, then missed the Charlton match following a decision by his parent club Chelsea. He was subsequently allowed to play around half an hour against Wolverhampton.
Hayen has said Satpaev is important to the team because of his pace, intensity, energy and individual qualities. The coaching staff plan to increase his workload gradually: after playing 30 minutes, the next step is expected to be around 45, then 60 minutes, before he is considered ready to complete a full match.
Burnley have not yet used Satpaev as a direct replacement for Vardy at centre-forward. Against Wolverhampton, the Kazakhstan forward came on for Bruun Larsen, while Vardy was replaced by Broja.
Satpaev officially joined Chelsea from Kairat in the summer of 2026 after turning 18. He signed a contract until 2033 and was immediately loaned to Burnley for the season. The forward made 58 appearances for Kairat’s first team and scored 26 goals.
Before his injury, Satpaev had started three consecutive matches for Burnley. On September 2, he was named the club’s Player of the Match in a 1-1 Championship draw with Middlesbrough. Satpaev played around 80 minutes, registered two shots on target and completed 17 of his 18 passes.
