Belarusian coach Vadim Skripchenko is set to become the new head coach of Dordoi Bishkek, Eurasia Football understands.
The 50-year-old is expected to replace Vladimir Salo, who has been in charge since June 2024.
Last season, Salo guided Dordoi to the Kyrgyzstan Cup. As a result, the club secured a place in the 2026/27 AFC Challenge League.
Dordoi are set to represent Kyrgyzstan in the competition after league champions Bars were unable to meet AFC licensing requirements. The AFC requires clubs to have participated continuously in the top flight for at least two years.
Skripchenko’s expected appointment comes amid a difficult season for Dordoi.
The Bishkek side have collected 10 points from their opening 11 matches. They currently sit in the lower half of the Jogorku Liga table.
One of the most experienced coaches in Belarusian football, Skripchenko holds a UEFA Pro Licence.
He began his coaching career within the BATE Borisov system. Later, he became part part of Viktor Goncharenko’s coaching staff during a period in which the club won three consecutive Belarusian league titles and reached the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Skripchenko later managed Ural, Krylia Sovetov and Anzhi in the Russian Premier League. He has also taken charge of Dinamo Minsk, Torpedo-BelAZ, Ararat-Armenia and Sheriff Tiraspol.
His greatest success came with Dinamo Minsk. There, he guided the club to back-to-back Belarusian Premier League titles in 2023 and 2024. Dinamo also won the Belarusian Super Cup in 2025 under his leadership.
After leaving Dinamo Minsk, Skripchenko briefly took charge of Moldovan side Sheriff. He departed the club earlier this year.
